“GHASIBA” AND “MLIBID” AN EPIC LOVE STORY

Three centuries ago, history was made. The legacy we celebrate today, began as Imam Muhammad bin Saud founded a land of hope, resilience, and glory we now know as the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On this day 300 years ago, Diriyah became the capital of the first Saudi state.

Throughout history, we’ve heard about the great romances that became the ultimate symbol of pure and true love. Antar and Abla, Romeo and Juliette, Qaysand Leila, couples who despite all the obstacles thrown in their way, never gave up on the love they had for each other.

Inspired by these epic love stories, we created a romance of our own. The story of “Ghasiba” and “Mlibid” and the valley that stood in their way. The story of “Ghasiba” and “Mlibid” being told through a poetic dialogue between both lovers who have never met.

The film starts with a narrator setting the stage for the poetic dialogue and end with him explaining the symbolic story.
